Ohio State University
UCSB

UMN-Twin Cities

Thanks! I'll chance back Asap :)

Brown - very, very unlikely. Approximately 15% Your weighted GPA, ACT, and ECs probably will hinder you.
Emory - unlikely, but less so. 35% chance
WashU - also rather unlikely, but a little bit more so. 45%
UMich - probable, but not certain. 55%
UNC- Chapel Hill: it’s pretty hard for OOS, so rather unlikely. 45%
Colorado College - match, high match. 65%
UIUC - very likely. 80+%
UW-Madison - I think it’s harder for OOS, but still likely. 65%
Ohio State - in 90+%
UCSB - rather likely, although incredibly expensive and not easy for OOS. 60%
UT-Austin - unlikely since you’re out of state. 45%
UMin -safety ~100%

WashU is harder to get into than Emory, @Stevenf

stevenf is probably the WORST chance person in the what are my chances forum. don’t listen to him.

Brown - apply ED and you’ve got a shot if you write EXCELLENT essays and deomnstrate your service leadership/passion lowish mid reach
Emory - shouldn’t be too hard to get into, also look into applying to the oxford college of emory: has 58% acceptance rate, you are at the oxford college of emory for 2 years, and you go on the next 2 years to the main school and get your degree from emory, you can apply to both schools. look it up
oxford college = match/safety emory = high match
WUSTL: low reach/high match
UMich-Ann Arbor: match
UNC-Chapel Hill: high match/low reach (i live in state and know sooooo many out of state ppl get denied b/c it’s 83% in state student body)
Colorado College - in
U of I - Urbana “Champagne” (you mispelled champaign) - in
UW-Madison - in
Ohio State University - in
UCSB - in
UT-Austin - match
UMN-Twin Cities - in

chance back!

If you say. When I chanced for Emory, btw, I chanced for the college itself, not Oxford.

I’m sorry to say this, but you seem to give pretty random, unfounded chances, offering a lot of hope for likely unattainable schools and little hope for likely attainable schools.

Whats up with the percentages? Thats by far the worst chancing method I have ever seen.

“Brown - very, very unlikely. Approximately 15%”

15% is pretty good considering Brownwn accepts 9% of their applicants

Brown- mid to high reach
Emory- low reach
UMich- match
UNC- low reach
Colorodo College- match
U Of I- safety/low match
Wisconsin- safety
OSU- safety
UCSB- low match
Texas- low match
UMN- safety

Brown- mid to high reach, even with ED I doubt youll really get in I’m sorry to say
Emory- low to mid reach (~30-35% chance)
WashU- low reach (~45-50% chance)
UMich-Ann Arbor- match (~65%)
UNC-Chapel Hill- low reach-high match (~50%) - Only problem is that its hard to get in out of state
Colorado College- match
U of I - Urbana Champagne- safety-low match
UW-Madison- match
Ohio State University- in
UCSB- match, expensive as anything though
UT-Austin- in
UMN-Twin Cities-in

UT-Austin-low match
UMN-Twin Cities-don’t know enough

I think your service work is particularly impressive and looks passionate, which is more than I can say for most chance threads. Working a job 20-30 hours a week is REALLY awesome, especially if you are doing it for more than just “spending money”. You just need a higher GPA. Is there a reason it isn’t higher? I mean, do you have a good story or is it just that you haven’t worked as hard as you could? I’m not trying to be rude; it’s just that there are going to be a lot of kids in the applicant pool whose UNWEIGHTED will be the same as you weighted…well, obviously not quite, but close. Know what I mean?
