I’m applying next year, probably ED, I’m not sure. My end goal is being an Army Officer, so I’m also applying to West Point and some other schools with good ROTC programs.
I’m a white catholic male, with 210k family income, my father went to ND, and my mother taught at Mendoza.
My GPA is 4.1, my ACT is 32, and my class rank is between top 10 and 15% at a competitive public high school, where I’ve taken lots of high level courses, in addition to taking extra courses online.
My ECs are crew captain, club fencing, club swimming, DECA officer, Model UN member, and church youth group leader.
I’m an excellent writer, so my essays will probably boost my chances as well.
Yes, you have a good shot. However, I would try to get that ACT score up. You have some time to do that. Also, ND does not have ED, it’s Restrictive Early Action. Make sure you understand the rules around that.
Agree, work on test prep to try to get to 34 – ND has remarkably high average test scores. Also, talk with your regional admissions counselor as you get closer – they are very upfront about advising students specifically whether to apply EA or not.
I agree about the ACT score. Try to get it up if you’re able to. 33-35 was the mid-50 percentile range for last year’s class. If you are a good writer that will help you, ND does pay attention to the essays. Good luck!
