hiiii
I just finished my junior year of high school, so college is a priority of mine at the moment.

GPA: 4.05
Senior Year Classes: AP Gov, AP Bio, Honors French VI (my school's equivalent to AP Language), Honors English IV (again, my schools equivalent to AP English IV), Honors Calculus, Theater/Acting
Junior Year Classes: Honors English III (school's equivalent to AP literature), Honors European History, Honors PreCalculus, Physics, French V, Modern Middle Eastern History, Play Directing

I took the ACT in January but didn't do so well because the Science section tanked my composite (I got a 28 C). I am retaking it tomorrow and expect to get an average of 31/32.

EC's:
editor-in-chief of both of my school's newspaper and yearbook: HUGE commitments of mine
theater(4 years)
cross country runner (3 years)
suicide awareness club member (2 years)
model UN (2 years)

Volunteer: 50+ hours of community service raising funds for my classmates to go to college. Not much else...

As far as "compelling stories": I transferred to boarding school my junior year because of my reputation.. I live in a smallish town, so I was known as the girl whose father took his own life a few years back. I left home for boarding school to get away from the prejudice associated with that label. I plan to write my college essay on my decision to leave home and my transition to a new environment.

Other info: Caucasian, female, from NJ originally but now in school in CT. Summers spent working at a weight loss camp.

I know Northwestern is a competitive university.. Do I have a chance? Specifically, I want to apply to the Medill School of Journalism. I'm also interested in Northeastern and GW. Don't be afraid to give me a straight answer... no need to sugarcoat it if you think I won't get in!

THANK YOUUUU
