I'm applying RD

You are definitely in the running! One thing: don’t submit your psychics sat. That being said, NU rd is going to be very very competitive this year. Since they accepted 49% in early decision, the expected RD acceptance rate is about 3-4%.

I’m also majoring in Biochemistry. I hope to see you next year!!

I submitted my physics sat of 590 and got accepted, I think you’re fine sending it in.

You’re a strong candidate for admission. Unfortunately, you’re in a pool full of strong candidates, so anything it’s anybody’s guess.
Good luck!

Your ACT is at 34.5 so a C of 35

^^ the ACT won’t matter since OP is already in the 75th percentile for NU’s stats. Despite what I said earlier, depending on your essays and (hopefully) receiving an interview, I actually think you have a great shot of getting in! But IMO, don’t send your SAT physics. Know that at least 50% of applicants may have a 800 physics so your 680 can put you at a disadvantage. I wouldn’t risk sending it in. Good luck!

Ah yeah, they actually prefer a higher ACT over a lower.

@wayneandgarth I agree, a higher ACT will always be preferred (increase rankings). But realistically, do you think that OP’s fate will be determined by 1 point? I say this because somebody at my school with a 36 ACT was deferred to NU ED while I (33) was accepted. Sorry for diverting from topic but my point is for top 20 schools, it’s more than just scores.

Stats look great, I wouldn’t summit the physics SAT II to be safe. ECs look diverse enough if your time at all of them is well distributed (particularly if you have more stuff out side your science major: I think that would make you stand out). I think essays this year are going to be by far the most essential given the competition of the applicant pool because there’s a lot of people applying with decent enough stats to get in, so your best shot is to make those stand out from the norm. Good luck!

Thank you so much everyone!!
