When will Brandeis come out?

Not too sure. From the threads I’m reading it seems they released on the 18th of March last year and they like doing the third thursday of March. I haven’t received any emails from them about it and they haven’t posted on their social media.

Would you guys say that Case Western Reserve U is a reach or hard target for me? Thanks.

I would put Case Western in the statistically unlikely category. It has a low acceptance rate to begin with, plus I heard it really over-enrolled last year. So this year I think it is going to be really stingy with acceptances.

Was waitlisted at Case Western

Trying to stay positive but the back to back waitlists and rejections really suck.

Funny enough I just got into Seton Hall with 84k, god has a sense of humor.

CW waitlists 30%. That will be tough to crack.

You’re doing great.

I wanted my kids to get turned down. And both did. This way you know your list was appropriate. You reached.

No reason fir the head to be down. You’ve gotten into some great names.

The Hall has a storied basketball tradition!!

Last year CWRU accepted 27% off the waitlist which is the best stat out of all of my waitlists. In the home stretch!

Congratulations on all of your acceptances and merit aid! There are a lot of schools that want you. Don’t spend another second thinking about possibilities who have shown they’re not the right fit. Especially because you have a lot of reflection to do about where you think you will be happiest over the next four years, because many colleges DO want you!

Absolutely, my counselor has sign in his office that says love the school that loves you back and I always try to remember that. Going forward!

Is this where you want to go? CWRU.

I’m looking at the 2021/22 CDS. Not to depress you but it’s showing:

11494 offered a place on the WL - that’s out of 33K - so it’s a common thing for them.

4992 accepted their spot

364 admitted.

Section C2 of the CDS. That said, 362 is a lot!!

But with WL, assume it’s a rejection. Write your LOCI, update if you have anything impactful to update but then mentally move on - because you need to find a place by May 1 and you need to fall in love with that place. So - emotionally you have to assume, after taking your steps to show love, you need to assume this is a rejection. And you’ll be fine - you already have great #s.

Edit - adding this that I just stole from another thread from @citivas - it’s the approach you need to take - spelled out better.

1. Once that is done, be totally clear in your mind that your waitlist status is a firm no. Do your best to get excited about a school that was a yes. Declare your intent to go. Buy some SWAG for the yes school. Tell people. Make plans. Because the odds the waitlist are going to come through are usually less than the odds you would get in in the first place so holding out hope is usually destructive to getting in the right head space for where you most likely will go.

yea guess that thread didn’t have accurate info. I realize I wasn’t treating waitlists like a no and that’s wrong so thank you. If I don’t get into another school then I’m gonna head to Rutgers which I’m cool with. Obviously I would go to Brandeis over any other school but i’m prepared for any decisions.

By that thread, I meant the one that Iooked at that which said 30% get off the waitlist.

Rutgers is a terrific school. I personally would choose Rutgers over CWRU any day. I have a crush on Rutgers though. Have thought about starting a topic called “schools I have a crush on.” Here it is: Augsburg, Rice, Santa Monica, UT-Dallas, Rutgers, any CUNY, Western Washington University, Michigan Tech, Hamline, McGill. I hope the mods don’t ding me for going off topic, but anyway my point is I think Rutgers is a great pick, congrats!
