Chance me for NYU, BU, etc

This is more of a future projection list, as I'm in my sophomore year, but I'm fairly confident this is what I'll be doing.

Clubs/Activities
Engineering Club - Gr. 10,11,12
Student Council - Gr. 10,11,12
National Honor Society
Science Honor Society
Math Honor Society
Italian Honor Society
Jazz Guitar NYSSMA - Outstanding score - Level 4,5,6 - Gr. 9,10,11,12 (Level 6 is the highest, and considered around college level)
Tuba NYSSMA - Outstanding score - Level 5,6 - Gr. 9,10,11,12
Piano NYSSMA - Outstanding score - Level 2,3,4 - Gr. 10,11,12

Honors
National, Science, Math, Italian Honor societies
High Honor Roll every semester.

AP Courses
AP Computer Science A
(AP Computer Science AB is not being offered by college board anymore, but I'll be taking an independent study that will teach about the same things)
AP European History
AP U.S. History
AP U.S. Government
AP Physics
AP Biology
AP English Language
AP English Literature
AP Calculus BC

Unweighted GPA = 94
Weighted GPA = unsure (School adds one point for every AP course with a grade between 95 and 100, .8 for grades 90-95, .5 for 85-90 etc)

PSAT = 207 (72 in math, 74 in CR, 61 in W)

I think my weakest point is EC, as I'm not really into much besides music.

Please chance me for
-Boston University
-NYU
-Columbia (I'm guessing that's unlikely)
-Brown
-Northeastern University

Oh, almost forgot, I'm planning to major in Computer Science, or Computer Engineering.

Wow, your school has alot of honor societies! But no, ECs are NOT your weakest area, you show you have a strong interest me music, and apparantly you're really good at it too! And you have alot of AP courses! My school does IB, so I'm a bit uninformed for AP, but I think you'd qualify to be an AP scholar?

Since you are a sophmore now, and can't give me everything, I can't exactly tell you how you'll fair. But my sister got into Boston University, and she didn't have as much as'll have, in my opinion, so I think you can get in there!

Chance me?

Thanks a lot.

Sorry, but I would feel uncomfortable chancing anyone really, as for the most part they would be more or less guesses, and I don't want to encourage/discourage people without really knowing much about it.

In case it wasn't clear, those are the APs I'm planning to take through senior year.

Oh, BTW, I really can't afford any of these schools without financial aid. My family has a pretty high income, but my parents will be putting me and my brother through college at the same time, and a lot of money tied up in mortgage payments, so getting accepted with little financial aid is basically the same for me as getting rejected.

bump
10char

Financial aid is okay for most of these because they are need-blind (they accept/deny people based only on academics and not financial need)

-Boston University: Low Match
-NYU: Match
-Columbia: Well... you guessed wrong. It'll be a reach, but its possible for sure.
-Brown: Reach, but a little better chance then Columbia.
-Northeastern University: Safety (don't go to this school... you're much smarter)

Just to be clear, does low match mean it would be easier to get in, or harder, as opposed to match or high match?

Thanks

Low-match is easier.

I think mcvcm92's assesment of your chances is a little low. You'll get into BU, NYU, Northeastern, and probably Brown. Columbia a definite possibility but nothing is for sure with Columbia. I think you'll at least be wait listed.

mcvcm: here's a suggestion
go **** yourself.

Hey, Red Glory, let's lay off the profanity on here.

Granted, nobody like their school disrespected, but people are entitled to their opinions.

As far as your chances, shaedow, I think you would have good chances at all of the schools if you took the time to participate in some academic competitions for ECs and could still keep your grades up at the 94 (3.85 to 3.90 GPA) level.

Right now, both Columbia and Brown are rejects, but that could change if you could show some competitions where you gained at least an honorary mention.

I think the other schools are safe matches to matches.

Good luck.
