NYU, Boston U, Cornell, Brown,...please!

Hi. Just wanted to throw some information in here..see what colleges i might be able to get into (some updated info).

GPA:
Freshman: 4.01
Sophomore: 3.7
Junior (so far): 3.85
Cumulative from Frosh and Soph: 3.85
Classes taken: every AP that my school offers..with at least a B average in them so far..B+/A- in Advanced classes, A's in regular classes. Taking AP Physics, Adv. Alg 2, and Pre Cal this year (will this look good to colleges??-doubling up in math?-still with A averages?)

SAT: only a 1350 as of right now (700M-easily a 750+-three stupid mistakes). Taking again in January to raise it above a 1400 so I can get into some Honors programs.
ACT: taking sometime (maybe twice) this year. (prediction-31/32)

ECs:
Soccer 9,10 (had to stop 11-picked up a side job-but picked up more after school activities that didn't last as long)
Quiz Bowl 9,10,11,12
Avatar 11,12
School Newspaper 11,12
Spanish Club 9,10,11,12
Student Optimist Club 9,10
NHS 11,12 (only years offered)
Science Olympiad Team 11,12 (only years offered)

Awards (which i lack)-First honors/principal's list all throughout high school (heh), AMC 10, pieces of my art exhibited in a local gallery (placed 3rd), AMC 12 (my teacher has already selected participants)
I'm going to work on going to some universities this summer and trying to get involved in research activities...involve myself in some camps-working around my work schedule (host/busser)-20+ hours a week
Class Rank: 10/225- we have no unweighted GPA
-I plan on taking SAT 2s
What are my chances at: Brown, Cornell, NYU, Boston U, U of Chicago, DePaul, Emory, U of Miami (Florida)
Thanks!

Brown- big (almost impossible) reach
Cornell- big (almost impossible) reach
NYU-match
Boston U-match
U of Chicago- big reach
DePaul-match/reach
Emory-reach
U of Miami (Florida)- match

how is DePaul a possible reach? i figured it was a safety...thanks though. Anymore help..anyone?

bump.............

sorry, i mean depaul was a safety. typo! :)

see ranger, i could understand brown being a big reach for me...but U of Chicago and Cornell? I could possibly get into those schools if my essays and recs were up there..or do you disagree?

you didn't mention essays or recs so i assumed you didn't think you were going to do well on them. so, while they ain't impossible, they still are a darn reach with 1350s. sorry. look at the UCs!

heh, being from Ohio I'll stay at least on the eastern side of the US. I'll work on bringing up the SAT, which I'm sure I'm capable of. My essays are usually damn good, so we'll go with that, recs should be nice, especially from my math and art teachers. How does Georgetown fit into everything?
Anymore advice from anyone would be helpful.

look at bates, bowdoin, colby.

thanks. anyone else?

bump because i'm insanely bored.

bump bumpbbb

ur taking algebra 2 and pre cal in one year...? hm... kinda weird for me, but good luck anyways

one or two people a year double up in math at my school..this year i think it was just me...but anyways, bump

Cornell is a very large school so it looks at gpa and sats a lot, both of which hurt you. Actually, your gpa is ok but its not good that it is declining as you get older. Your ecs are ok and for that reason i think any ivy is a major reach.

Thanks. I'm basically most worried about Boston U and NYU. I'm planning on applying to Cornell and Brown just to see if I can get in, but mostly i'll end up going to the school that gives me the most money. How do you think NYU and Boston U play in my situation? (CAS)

bump..............
