Chance me for NYU CAS ED I?

<p>Hi,</p>

<p>This is my first post to College Confidential after a lot of lurking. I am very set on NYU CAS for ED I. I'm hoping this can both help sooth my anxiety and also point me in the right direction towards improving myself as a candidate. I go to a Montessori high school, so it's very untraditional and experimental.</p>

Raised money to build 2 Prusa i3 printers and purchase 1 Makerbot Replicator 5th Gen. Founded a club to manage the printers and printer use.</p>

<p>Student Researcher at Cleveland Clinic's Epilepsy Center (10th, 11th, and 12th grade)
Volunteered at (clinic) under the Epilepsy Center: helped in lab projects, attended research meetings, presented on research and information. [NOTE-- I am working on setting up a research project that I can take part in, hopefully will get published.]</p>

<p>Drummer and Manager for The Pleiades (a band) (10th, 11th, and 12th grade)
Finalists at a state-wide battle of the bands competition, first place at a local high school battle of the bands, and awarded opportunity to record demo at local community college and local recording studio: thepleiades.com</p>

Produced ads for the school that went in local magazines, newspapers, and websites. Produced advertisements for yearbook for parents and local businesses. <p>Entrepreneurship Intensive -- Co-Leader (10th grade)
Raised money to visit start-ups in NYC- Quirky, Fab, Branch, Spotify, 10Gen, and Charity Buzz. Met executive officers, key people, etc. and learned about the businesses and industries. Took part in activities with the startups.</p>

<p>Yearbook Committee/Club -- Editor in Chief (10th, 11th, and 12th grade)
Lead business for yearbook in 10th and 11th grade, and layout in 12th. Sold ads to parents and local companies, etc. Sold copies. Fundraised for the committee. </p>

Recognized as an outstanding student by the school. Given extra responsibilities: open houses, manning booths at events, interviews, etc.</p>
