Chance me for NYU/Northeastern/BU?

I'm a Junior at a tiny parochial school in Minnesota. My weighted GPA is ~3.9 (my school doesn't really do unweighted) and I am second in my class of thirty. (Yes, my class consists of thirty kids. I don't want to talk about it.)
Because of its size, my school doesn't offer any APs. I'm taking the hardest classes available to me (two Honors English classes), and I will have received college credits in Intro to Public Speaking and Calculus through the University of Minnesota before I graduate. There is also an option of taking an elective class through an outside university for credit, but if I do so, my class rank will be taken out due to my school's policy.
I'm involved in a plethora of activities, but I haven't cured cancer or anything:
-Speech Captain Junior & (will be) Senior Years, 4 years participation and at least 1 year State Tournament participation
-5-time letter winner in soccer
-Knowledge Bowl (3 years)
-Art Council (possible leadership as a senior)
-Spanish Club (possible leadership as a senior)
-Work about 10-15 hours/week as a waitress
-Student Council (Freshman Class President, Sophomore/Junior Class Rep, possible leadership as a senior)
-Drama (4 years, lead role as a freshman)
-Prom Committee
-Altar Server
-40 hours community service/school year

I just received an ACT score of 32 (33E, 28M, 34R, 31S). This should be up to a 33-34 in April with my English up to a 34-35 and my Math to a 30-31. I got a 9W.

My intended major would be Journalism, though I would be interested in double majoring with Political Science.

What are my chances for getting into New York University, Northeastern, and Boston University? NYU is my top choice, but I am apprehensive to apply ED next year because of the historically terrible financial aid. I would apply EA to Northeastern if that makes a difference. I am also applying to the University of Minnesota and Purdue for sure.

Thanks for your help. I really appreciate it! :)

You have a solid chance at all of the schools you listed. If I were you, I would still consider applying to NYU Early Decision… If they don’t give you enough aid to be able to attend, you are no longer contractually bound, and you still get the advantages of ED. That said, RD can help you weigh your options more easily. Best of luck!

Thank you very much!

Buuuuuumpp

NYU will unweight your GPA. Class rigor disadvantages you, but ACT is very good.

FA between NYU ED and RD shouldn’t differ. So I would recommend applying ED.

Thanks for your insight!
