Korean Male, International, visa-holder
moved to the states in 9th grade
go to a very competitive public high school in CA. sends many students to top colleges.
I can pay full tuition if that matters.
will do ED1

GPA: 3.53 UW (very worried about this), school doesn’t report weighted GPA but I think it’s around 3.83 (may be a bit off)

ACT: 33 composite, but 36s on both math and science. 34 composite superscore.

SAT 2: Math 2c 740, just took chem this october

APs: Junior year chem (4)

Senior year taking Calc AB, Psych, Environmental Science, Macro

Good Letter of Recs (waived my rights to see ofc so im guessing) and Essays

Summer Intern at a startup company in NY
Summer Intern at a Korean startup company
Summer Intern in Haiti: The company’s goal is to improve clean water
supply in Haiti; not only that I worked as an intern
but I also made/designed a photobook that will be
used in their fundraising project. I am very passionate about photography if that helps; got a
scholastic photography award before.

(hope these internships make up for my low gpa)

Internships won’t make up for GPA. GPA at every school is the most important thing, and very few things can make up for it. It is going to be a challenge, but you have a chance.

Personally, I think you are in great shape. Your ACT scores are very very good, and defiantly will stand out. Your GPA may be slightly below, but everything else makes up for it (3.53 UW is fine). I think the chances are in your favor.
