Chance me for Oxford, please?

<p>SAT:2220 (800 CR, 800 W, 620 M)</p>

<p>AP: 5 on Eng Lang, 4 on US History and World History, 3 on Bio. Taking Econ, Govt, Calc AB, Stats, Eng Lit, and Latin this year.</p>

<p>GPA: 3.9/4.0, 4.8/5.0</p>

<p>SAT II: 650 Lit, 760 US History</p>

<p>All honors classes except for freshman geometry. All As except for an 88 in PAP Chem.</p>

<p>Volunteer: tons at my church, worked for three summers teaching preschool at another church, 20+ hours for NHS</p>

<p>ECs: super involved in Academic UIL (officer, state competitor, etc), editor of newspaper for two years (awards and stuff from that, too), National Honor Society, Latin Club (officer), Amnesty International (officer), church stuff, held a job since sophomore summer</p>

<p>National Merit stuff</p>

<p>Contact with office: College fair last year, ordered the Emory DVD, requested info.</p>

<p>If you think I'd get in, would you also please chance me for Oxford Scholars and Emory College?</p>

<p>You have a solid shot at Emory. You’re fine. Your scores are very similar to mines. And your GPA slightly higher. Chill, u should know that you have a good chance w/those scores, ECs, and GPA. ;)</p>

<p>I don’t know anything about Oxford Scholar’s, but one question. Are you applying regular or early decision? You have a solid chance at both, but perhaps a significantly higher chance for early decision which means you should probably try for Emory scholars. It’s a crapshoot, but you don’t really have anything to lose.</p>

<p>You are DEFINITELY going to get into both. You might as well just apply to the ivies with a scores and a GPA like that (you’ll never know:)). Just work hard on that college essay and get good recs. And you would definitely get into Oxford Scholars and maybe Emory Scholars. You are doing great though:)</p>

I am not applying early decision because I don’t qualify for need-based aid, but I need financial support…I’m applying EA to Oxford because I want to know sooner! haha</p>
