Might submit an arts supplement. Will have two really great recommendation letters! And a decent counselor one.

I’d appreciate any advice or responses you might have and will chance back

Schreyer won’t consider your test scores. It must have released its essay prompts - have you started working on them? They will be read by honors faculty who will then decide “do I want that kid in my seminar?”
They’ll also check you had one each of bio, chem, physics; level 4 or higher in a foreign language (or more); if you add all APs and Honors classes you took, how close to 20 you get (or more) [classes not tests].
If you have that and have started on your essays, based on the information above, you have a decent shot, but it’s very selective (something like 10% selectivity) that you shouldn’t count on it.
You’re applying for Eberly/Neuroscience right?
If you’re instate, also look at Pitt, they’re the opposite of Schreyer and very test-score based.

Pretty good all around. Your AP scores are excellent, so no worries about that. My friend got in into Shreyers with the same type resume but if that UW GPA gets a little higher, you should be in great shape!. Chance me back maybe?

@MYOS1634 thank you so much! It really helps to know what they’re looking for like that. Also, I am in-state so I’m looking at both. I was planning on Eberly for biology with a concentration in neuroscience. I’m a little under the 20 honors/AP classes so I guess I gotta make sure I bring up the other parts of my apps, lol. Thanks again for your advice!

@letmeinpls1234 thanks so much!! I think Penn State typically only looks at the full junior year so I will fall a little short, even if I get straight As next year as a senior so I’m a little worried about that. Including my electives, my GPA unweighted is around a 3.5-3.6 but I can’t figure out if that would be calculated to include electives, do you have any idea? And thanks again for your help!

If you apply regular decision (which I think you can for honors) with your senior year grades, you should have a chance. I dont think UW includes electives, but its based on your school. Nevertheless you have a chance with good senior year grades

Do you mind chancing me back?

@letmeinpls1234 thank you! And yep, sorry I will!

Penn State only has modified rolling admissions – no early decision or regular decision. The priority deadline for both the normal app and the Schreyer app is Nov 30. https://www.shc.psu.edu/admissions/apply/checklist.cfm

@bodangles Thank you so much!
