Chance me for PLME

I’m a junior at the Illinois Math and Science Academy, one of the best high schools in the nation. It was in fact ranked as a “public elite” by Newsweek. I am not saying this to boast, but to provide a reason for why my grades aren’t as good as a lot of other people’s.

GPA: NA. School does not give GPAs. But it would be a 3.5.

SAT: 2190 (740 M + 740 V + 710 W)

SAT II’s: 760 Chem, taking math in september.

ECs: Medical Ethics Club, INternational Doctors of Tomorrow, World Academy of Young Scientists, Mathematical Modeling Contest (honorable mention), IMSA Math Team, Mu Alpha Theta honorary society, IMSA Shanti (Hindu religious association)

Research: Projects at Loyola Univ last summer, mentorship at NWU’s (Northwestern University’s) Feinberg (School of Medicine) last school year, mentorship at NWU’s Feinberg next year, looking for something this summer. Will be entering project into Intel STS.

Hook: I will talk about the role religion has played in my life, especially how religion connects to being a first-generation immigrant.

Volunteer: Doctor’s office, library, tutoring (kids via local library), IMSA nurse’s office

your 3.5 is OK, and your SAT Is OK i believe

research is great. good lucky!

you go IMSA? nice, what's your research mentorship topic? are you going to admit it to Seimens? i think that would give you a big boost. your sat scores are mediocre but unfortunately prolly not good enough for brown..

brown PLME is HIGHLY SELECTIVE...like, the best of the best. i just don't think your stats are good enough. you'll be competing against people with 2350+, 4.0 gpa, 1000+ volunteer, 3 years research, and national champions. your just too mediocre for Brown PLME. however, you have a good chance at regular brown undergrad.

oh, and ps: your hook isn't that great. sorry :(
