Question about brown PLME

It would be much appreciated if a person accepted to Brown PLME would post their stats. Thanks.

me too. ill bump for you.

Me too! :)

i wud like to know too!

All i know is, it is extremely hard to get into.

here's a girl that I know who's in the PLME prgm

GPA 3.948. SAT 1600 Accomplishments: An 11-time varsity letter winner in rifle, cross-country, track and swimming, devised the Brucker Oblique Stabilization Brace to help athletes recover from hip injuries; tutoring liaison, National Honor Society; Wendy's High School Heisman national winner; articles, poems and art published in local and national publications; United States Mensa volunteer and youngest editor of its Half A Step Ahead magazine; community TV volunteer; creator, self-syndicated TV show on teen health topics broadcast on public access stations; performs as a ventriloquist at nursing homes; research on mycobacteriophages at Hatful Lab.

Wasn't this person like on the USA Today All-America high school team?

It's a small program so each student brings something different. Some have very obviously stand-out accomplishments--the first place winner of last year's Intel Science Talent Search was part of the entering class. Other's have a standard laundry list of high stats (perfect SAT's, GPA). Other's have lower SAT's and grades but somehow convey a genuine passion for learning, unusual maturity, and interest in medicine--mostly through past activities and experiences.

With something so selective there is always going to be some measure of arbitrariness. I wouldn't worry to much about the stats of individual PLME's. on average, their SAT's and GPA's tend to be higher than the average Brown acceptee or Harvard acceptee, but some are much much lower. It's a roll of the dice for everybody so you may as well try

having looked at the plme stats of those admitted around here, it's quite uncertain

ive had friends with higher results be rejected compared to this site
but also for such a selective program, it's obviously looking for something specific. (or else it wouldn't be so selective)

just be yourself, if you are somebody the university wants, you'll be accepted, if not, this does not mean you're not qualified, it's just means they're looking for something else

someone looking for the last puzzle piece would not pick any piece, but would find the one that would fit in with the rest of the puzzle

likeso, universities are trying to build a certain class (picture) each year

Exactly ^^^^

I bet there are many amazing candidates that are rejected.
