If you are wondering why i am not applying to American Universities although i am a citizen is because i feel that Canadian universities are a better fit for me. As i am a study with good grade but weak extracurriculars. Plus they seem to be much cheaper than American colleges.

Do you guys think i have a good chance of getting into a Top Canadian universities?

You’re good for McGill and U of T.

Queen’s Commerce is a toss up. They place huge emphasis on extracurriculars and had an acceptance rate of ~8% this year. Once you get past a certain grade level (which you’re past), they stop considering your grades and assess you 100% based on your ECs and entrance essays. Your ECs seem okay, but it’s all about how well your PSE and essays are written, so it’s tough to chance you.

Thanks for the help! I have a few questions if you dont mind.

1)Does UBC (Sauder) look at extracurriculars and do i have a good chance of getting in there?

2)Do you think going to either U of Toronto, UBC, Mcgill, Western or Queen’s will make a difference when applying to top tier schools for MBA in the US? Or will it not matter which i attend as long as i maintain a high GPA?

High GPA, high GMAT and internships are needed if you are talking about Harvard, Chicago, Stanford etc. for an MBA.

ALSO, top MBA schools require a minimum of 2 years post bachelor’s work experience.

UBC Sauder is one of the few holistic B-schools in Canada so ECs do hold some weight…
