Harvard and Princeton are high reaches
Cornell is a reach
Colombia - reach to high reach
matches for other two
bring up the CR SAT in october too

Bumping this up. Trying to get CR up to a 670-720 and W to 750-800, giving me a 2220-2320 superscore. So would mid 2200s improve my chances significantly? Or is there something else with my GPAs or ECs?

It will be tough even if you get in the 2200-2300 range as an unhooked applicant, and even with a 2300+, it can still be possible to get rejected at all of the ivies. However, that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t apply. Give it a go and hope you get accepted at a few of them.

Yeah I know it’ll be tough but it’s not a complete crapshoot right? I mean obviously Princeton is gonna be a high reach (applying just for fun to be honest, since it’s Princeton) and Harvard too (applying because my grandfather got his PhD from there, so somewhat of a distant legacy I suppose) but Penn/Columbia/Cornell aren’t completely out of question right?

It looks like you were involved in a lot of clubs since freshman year, but do you have leadership positions in any of them? Otherwise it’s pretty meaningless since the barrier for entry into a club is pretty low

“Junior and Senior Class Treasurer
National Honor Society Sergeant at Arms
Latin Honor Society Junior Consul, most likely Senior Consul next year”

All the ivies you listed are probably reaches, I kind of dislike the EC list because so few are long term ECs, it’s like you don’t really commit. That current CR score also hurts a lot.

I really dislike chance thread. That being said, I am going to chime in to tell you that you have good chance at Penn and Cornell, but not for certain. Because of that, I would like to ask you if you would be happy to go to NJ state schools if you didn’t.

My older daughter applied to NJ schools as safeties, but was very upset about having to go to Rutgers. If you are in the same boat, I would like you to do more research and try to find other safeties that you would be happy to go to - Colgate, Lehigh, Bucknell, BU, Emory, Rice, Tufts…

You would have a good chance with Cornell and Penn if you could bring your SAT up, but with very slim chance at other schools.
