Chance me for Stanford and other similar schools!

Wondering if anyone on here will take a look at my odds to get into Stanford, MIT, or Ivy League schools.

Willing to do early action application for a school if that increases odds of acceptance.

Essays should be 10/10. Having a dad that is an author always helps.
Rec letters will be 9/10. From AP Spanish teacher, baseball coach, and one other AP teacher.

Thank you!

If you change your mind about playing baseball in college and you are recruitable, your chances obviously go way up. Otherwise, you look like most other applicants who are competitive but nothing stands out. You won’t get much credit for your baseball achievements if you’re not going to be playing. It will be viewed as just another EC.

Good luck!

I think your application looks very strong. They want to see dedication and deep involvement in an interest, and your success in baseball shows that. Plus a lot of other impressive stuff like Boys State and starting your own business. Your academic course is rigorous. If you can make your personality shine though in your essays you have a fair shot at the most selective schools.

im not gonna chance you cuz that’s stupid and no one knows what they’re talking about. But I WILL say that you look like an amazing applicant for anywhere you apply, a shoe in!

^^ Haha. First you say that you’re not going to chance because it’s stupid and no one knows what they’re talking about and then you end by saying that they are a “shoe in!”. (It’s shoo-in, btw.)

As I said above, you are a competitive applicant but I don’t share the above poster’s blanket enthusiasm. Your ECs outside of baseball are good but not particularly remarkable, your ACT score is about average and your class rank means there are 51 kids in your school ahead of you. It’s anyone’s guess whether Stanford will choose you or others ahead of you. All we can do is wish you good luck!

Check out the profile of accepted students last year from Stanford site. You will be a strong candidate for admissions but they have a choice of thousands of other more accomplished students then yourself. A lot of HS valedictorians get rejected but it looks like they look for students that are passionate and dedicated to making an impact locally, regionally and/or nationally.

I agree with Multiverse you are a well-rounded and competitive applicant but none of your ECs stand out above the crowd. My suggestion is your essay should be outside the box to increase your chance of getting into your intended schools. You will be successful whatever college you attend.
