<p>Im applying as an international student from Saudi Arabia, I go to a very known competitive private school and I take the IB diploma program</p>

<p>I am the only one in my grade with 4 Higher Level IB courses and 2 Standard Level, so toughest program offered at my school (IB English A2 HL, Math HL, Economics HL, Business and Management HL, Bio SL, Arabic A1 SL)</p>

<p>My predicted IB score: 42/42 (with bonus points, 45)</p>

<p>GPA: 4.1 (unweighted)
Rank: 1st out of 75 students (But i think my school kept me as top 2% cause they dont rank)</p>

<p>SAT I/II:
CR: 510 (bad, i know)
Math: 800
CW: 660
total SAT reasoning: 1970
Math 1: 740
Math 2: 730
Bio M: 580
TOEFL iBT: 107 out of 120
IELTS: 8 out of 9</p>

<p>Teacher Evaluations: one english, one math (both are excellent recommendations, teachers shared them with me)</p>

<p>Common App Essay: Strong (many people read it and got a lot of good praise from it)

<p>Extracurriculars: MANY! MUN for three years, Stock Investment challenge, Junior Achievement Banks in Action, Habitat for Humanity, Student Government (secretary in junior year, president in senior year), captain of soccer team, basketball team, track and field, many high school honor awards, 3 work experience (one in Accounting dept, one in an insurance company and one in construction company, all experiences lasted for about 1-2 months max)
Past Two Summers: Global Young Leaders Conference and Harvard Summer School (received 8 undergraduate credits precalculus B+, psychology B)</p>

<p>I don't think your chance is that great particularly due to your SAT Reasoning score. And I talk to a lot of the officers from competitive American colleges & universities; they all say that they do not focus a lot on the predicted grades due to their subjectivity. </p>

<p>I am an I.B. Diploma student in Canada. I believe that your SAT scores are inconsistent with your class percentile and your I.B. predicted grades. By the way, how is it possible for any student to receive 45/45 as predicted grades?</p>

<p>Normally teachers don't give out 7/7 for predicted.</p>

<p>my predicted score is a 42 (that means i got a 7 in each)... colleges (including the ivy leagues) are aware that my score rarely gives 7.. i know what you mean like there are some schools where teachers give their students 7 even though they dont deserve it but the actual with the predicted in my school mostly matches every year and I got a 7 in each.. i hope colleges will take this into consideration i mean english is my second language and thats why my critical reading score is a bit poor but i hope other things replace it</p>

<p>I think you should be aware that 510 does not reveal a level of language acquisition sufficient for Stanford, regardless of your TOEFL. </p>

<p>FYI, my SAT Reasoning scores are 680/780/730 (and I am freaked out about my CR score...). My TOEFL is 115. I am a Taiwanese Aboriginal (Asian nonetheless so... doesn't help either).</p>

<p>I see that you're taking English HL and receive a predicted of 7/7. Adcoms may interpret it as that your school is too lenient with predicted grades. Your Biology predicted grade is also inconsistent with your SAT II Biology M.</p>

<p>Out of the colleges on your list, I'd say you have a good chance at Northwestern, and I think even it is a reach.</p>

<p>You shouldnt be freaking out, most international students who get admitted to stanford are asians.. the arabs have few or no chance to stanford!! and yes i did get a 7/7 in IB english A2 HL (thats 2nd language HL)</p>
