SAT I: 2250 (800 CR, 740 W, 710 M)
SAT II: 2230 (780 USH, 730 Lit, 720 Bio-E)

ECs:
-Have worked for a few newspapers over the past 8 months. Highlights include covering the Gov. of NY, interviewing a 103 year old, touring the county jail, much more!
-Work on municipal committee
-Run a 8.5k annually grossing not-for-prof with a part time employee
-Several other smaller stuff; president of two clubs, work for school paper, senior class treasurer.

Other: Demographics are against me. Tri-state Jew. However, I do have a parent who attended Swarthmore.

The grades are low, but there is the slight mitigating factor of the upward trend. Your legacy should balance out whatever disadvantage you feel your demographic brings you. Your EC’s seem pretty good, so leverage them as much as possible. Write brilliant essays, and you have a decent shot of getting in ED.

I would say ED is a low reach. Your GPA may hurt you. But the upward trend is good. The paper stuff sounds pretty impressive. Good luck! I hope you get in!
