Chance me for Syracuse :)?

Chance me for Syracuse University... I'm applying Early Decision, and plan to major in Economics (Bachelors of Arts), or apply undecided.

Questions: Last year I switched high schools because my school closed down due to extreme budget cuts. When I attended my new high school, I got a C in Algebra 2 and a C in Chemistry, if I get a 600+ on the SAT math section will Syracuse over-look the two C's I got in 11th grade?

What other things can I do to make my application competitive? I'm open for suggestions :)

Is that GPA weighted? It would help a lot to know your unweighted. From just glancing at your grades, it looks like your unweighted is below a 3.0, which is pretty low for Syracuse. Your best chance at getting in would be to raise your SAT score significantly. Try aiming for 1900+ to make up for those C’s

Weighted GPA: 3.40
Unweighted GPA: 3.10

On my transcript, my school only reports the weighted GPA and weighted class rank to colleges and universities.

I’d emphasize that there was an issue between your sophomore and junior years on the app. However, I would suggest retaking the October SAT. If you study, I’m sure you can raise it to an 1800 at least - a 1900 would be good. Make sure that you show Syracuse that you’re interested. Good luck!
