Hey!
These are my stats:
UW GPA: 3.5 / 4
SAT: 1570
SAT Subjects: USH (800), Math 2 (790), Bio (800)
9 AP Classes including what i’ll be taking senior year.
Decent ECs - mainly related to science and engineering.
I want to study Environmental Science in a research university. I am thinking of applying to these schools (not all of them obviously, but this is a initial list). Please let me know what you think my chances are.
Safety:
Seattle U
UW Bothell (instate)
Match:
UPitt
UIUC
UW (instate)
Syracuse U
Penn State
UC Irvine
UW Madison
Boston University
Reach:
NYU
USC
WUSTL
Home State? I would switch out UC Irvine for UC Davis and/or UC Santa Barbara. UC Irvine is not really known for their Environmental Science program.
@Gumbymom Washington State
UC GPA? Post capped weighted and Fully weighted. Also only AP/IB or DE courses taken in 10-11th grade count for the extra honors points in the calculation:

You have competitive test scores but GPA is a bit light.
UCI: Match-High Match
Other UC’s such as UCSB/UCD: High Match
USC: Low Reach
Are you parents OK in paying the high OOS fees for many of these schools especially the UC’s? No FA for out of state students so costs will be around $60K/year.
