ACT Score 30 I am currently a junior. If it matters, I'm a minority (african) and a twin. Harvard is my dream but any Ivy League would be an honor. What are my chances?

Any and all input is appreciated.

Good chances. Try for ACT >33, but 30’s decent. Try SATs and AP exams. Good luck and apply for a safety school

decent shot, URM will def help

Very impressive, ur an urm and ur ECs are pretty good, try founding an organization or club outside of school, and U will definitely be in. The reason I say this is because it would make you a lot different than the applicant pool. Many are very smart and make research papers and all, but many lack the necessary leadership, you seem to have that but on a school level, you see where i am coming from??? I think you will get into cornell, brown, penn, and columbia, others maybe a mid reach but acheivable.

I don’t get when people ONLY want to go to an Ivy… Every ivy league school is SO different, there’s no way you’d fit in at all of them.

I don’t agree with @manas1997. There’s nothing you will do that will assure that you “will definitely be in” at ANY top-school, short of being recruited. I also don’t recommend you take on any more activities, as you’re certainly doing a lot already (unless, of course, you really want to and have enough free time).

What I can say is that you’re definitely a qualified applicant who has a good shot at admittance into any college. Just try to bump up that ACT score, and keep working hard!

Best of luck! :)

P.S. @Mlolo98 is right; look into other schools, as well. The Ivies are great, but they’re all quite different, and many non-Ivies have a lot to offer (and some may be better than the Ivies!)

I think you have a good chance at an Ivy if you pull up your ACT just a little bit! Which Ivy are you mainly interested in?

Also please check out my chances post! It would be greatly appreciated :)

@thebeatlestoday I didn’t say he wad definitely get in, I said he wad stnd out more

@manas1997: I was just quoting you. You said: “…try founding an organization or club outside of school, and U will definitely be in.” I just wanted to clear that up for the poster and make sure he/she stays realistic :)
