Chance me for the Naval Academy please!

Sup fellow Kansan. My brother went to the academy from the 3rd district, and just graduated 2 weeks ago. His academic courses were similar, though likely more respected because his school has a stronger reputation than the larger public schools in the area including the Shawnee mission and blue valley schools. Although, that makes very little difference. My parents were former presidents of the USNA club for greater Kansas City and there were plenty of kids from our area, from all kinds of schools.
My brothers GPA was probably a few points higher and his super score ACT was higher. Not sure whether he submitted his SAT but it was around a 2200. My brother was very active outside the classroom with 2 or 3 clubs, 2 sports, and music. Honestly, your chances are pretty good. Academically and physically you are strong enough. It comes down to how well you interview, and whether you have something extra about you that stands out to the admissions council. Good luck

Also, your mile time does not have to be under 6. I’ve hung around with plenty of mids incapable of that feat during their time at the academy, let alone during their application process.

@ScreenName5 Congrats to your brother! I’m guessing your brother went to a private school? Thanks for your helpful input. Now, I’m going to work on those interviewing skills. :)
