Chance me for the UC schools.

Hey, UC Davis and Irvine are my top choices.

I'm currently a junior.
Average GPA: 3.65 weighted (Not including the first semester of junior year, but will likely be a 3.8. I plan on getting at least a 4.3 second semester because it's one of my last chances to impress.) You may think my GPA is low for unweighted but I took 2 honors classes last year.

My junior year classes are:
Honors American Lit
Honors Spanish 3
AP chemistry
AP US History
Algebra 2/Trig
Comparative Religion

Probable Senior year classes:
AP English
AP Comp Sci
AP Physics
AP Macro Econ
AP Gov
AP Calc
Religion

EC's: Travel team basketball, Varsity Volleyball, Yearbook (Editor), Robotics (President),
Filipino Club, Key Club, Food
Club, Dance team, CSF, NHS, Altar Serving, Hospital Volunteer

I have about 250 service hours within the past year.
I got a 2000 on my PSAT.
Hopefully I can match that score on the Jan SAT. I'll be taking Subject tests in match 2
and chemistry. I'll also be applying to University of Washington, Penn State,
Boston College, and Stanford (that's a reach, I know, but I'll try). Some others I'll also be
trying: USF, USD, and Cal Poly. Some extra facts: I've taken part in a couple of these schools' engineering outreach programs as well because ive heard they help on college apps. I believe ive risen from adversity in my life since I was a child. Could you guys give me some ideas about these
schools along with the UC schools.

Dude, dont worry I got into UC Berkeley and my stats werent as good as yours. Im a out of state. Relax, consider yourself in.:)

When did you apply to UCB? I feel as though my grades are too low compared to the average now

Jpballer87, I have not heard of UC Berkeley accepting high school sophomores in the past - are you in some special program???

LOL! ^ You totally got caught Jpballer87.

Hey, That is not my essay. It is my brothers and he told me to put it up because his computer is not working. I applied for class of 2010. I got in with 32 ACT, 1950 SATI, Many EC’s, Honors/AP, Stellar essay, and good interview.

An interview at Berkeley? Hmmmm… there are no admissions interviews at Berkeley, only scholarship interviews.

Please note that the College Confidential terms of service prohibit you from posing as different people. As you can see, once you do, everything you post is suspect.

How kind you are to follow your brother’s command without question, and how unfortunate he could not use your computer to log into his own account. As a Berkeley student, I would think you could have offered your brother some advice on that essay before posting it as it was… especially since your own essays were “stellar.”

People these days. You need to realize that everything doesn’t have to be complicated. I just put up the THREAD for him cause he doesn’t have an account. He asked me to proofread his essay so I put it on here. Calm down, I had an interview because of scholarships. Lay off “LameMom”. Gosh!

If you are going to continue to claim to be a Berkeley student, you might want to adjust the age on your profile. You currently have yourself listed as 15 years old…

Of course you did…
