Sat CR + Math = 1160. 3.2 gpa but a 3.5 not counting freshman year. I also have a strong upward trend, maintaining a 3.9 Junior year. Will my upward trend help?

What are my chances of getting into cal state Northridge, Fullerton, Long beach, or San Diego?

Do you know your UC GPA, or which school is in your referral area? San Diego State is a tough nut. Long Beach might be too. I think both are impacted.

"Consideration for admission to any impacted major or campus is contingent on first meeting the regular admission requirements for the CSU. Supplementary admission criteria are used to screen all applicants for admission to impacted majors including those students currently enrolled at the campus in other majors and seeking access to the impacted major. "

Thank you deetz. And I pretty much live in the Los Angeles area. I am NOT technically in Long Beaches referral area but I am close and kids from my school seem to get in easy enough. My UC gpa is 3.5 and my full SAT is 1850

I think you have a pretty solid chance, a very good chance if you keep up the upward trend. I think your SAT scores are slightly above average, and your GPA is right in the 50th percentile. Keep up the good work and you’re in:)

I believe Cal Poly SLO is the only Cal State that asks for freshman grades, so your higher grade 10-11 GPA will be the one that counts. Again, except for SLO, it’s all about the test scores and grade 10-11 grades, somewhat affected by where you live. Sounds like you are in good shape; keep up with the upward trend!
