So, before I start with my stats, I was bullied really bad in highschool, but overcame it, so, please don't assume from my grades that I was lazy, or a late bloomer.

Essay: I don't think I will have any trouble writing a compelling essay.
Recommendations: I have absolutely no troubles there! The only reason for my low grades is that I freak out during the exams, which hold huge chunks of our grades(mid and final hold 50-60% of our grade, and usually, each queastion is about 2-3% of our grade; 4 questions wrong, and your A just disappears-poof!) but in class, I am one of the top students. I completely understand, I just don't test well. I know my counselor very well, and she actually nominated me for a summer program at Harvard University.

Major: Mechanical Engineering, possibly a double with Aeronautical as well

Schools I'm intersted in:
MIT: I know, but a boy can dream, can't he?

And also, If you guys can offer some safety college for me to apply to, that might give good fin. aid?
Thank you guys for reading this, and PLEASE-PLEASE-PLEASE post, don't just read this and go on to the next chance me post.

Your stats aren’t bad. GPA is a little on the low side but your SAT score and EC’s compensate for that! You have only posted your SAT 1 score! MIT definitely requires SAT 2, so I hope you’ve done them and your SAT 2 score better be good! I’d say the chances of getting into MIT are very slim, but lets hope for the best! The rest of them shouldn’t be hard to get in, I’d say you have a 50% chance of getting in. Legacy Status really helps, so its a definite for Michigan and Mcgill! Again, make sure they don’t require SAT subject tests. I don’t know whether you have done them or you chose not to post your score.

Safety Schools: I’m fairly certain you would get into some of these, so I don’t really have one in mind!

You should be more confident of yourself! Your extracurriculars are quite impressive and your SAT’s and TOEFL are solid, Can you tell me more about AP’s you’ve taken/classes that show you challenged yourself? What about SAT II’s? Though you have an awesome grade curve over the years, your early years’ GPA’s are going to hurt, however, MIT isnt impossible for you. You have a nice chance of getting in for all the colleges you have listed above other than McGill and MIT. McGill is a reach and MIT is a high reach (eventhough you have legacy for McGill, I won’t say McGill is a definite acceptance since your GPA average so far is less than a 3). YOUR ESSAYS THOUGH, MAKE THEM AWESOME, because essays are such a huge part of your app for selective schools I cannot stress enough. It is what gets you into a reach school.
