Specifically looking at UChicago, MIT, and Stanford, but also top 20s in general

  • 1540 SAT (790 math, 750 EBRW)
  • 3.8 - 3.9ish UW GPA (depending on how you calculate it*
  • 800 math SAT
  • 800 chemistry SAT
  • 6 AP courses so far, 12 overall
  • 2 post-AP courses

*If you calculate it using:

  • All classes (middle + high school): 3.68
  • All HS classes: 3.83
  • All HS classes except PE: 3.88

ECs:
(ECs I’m planning on continuing will be marked 12 even though I’m a junior)

Clubs:

  • Debate: 10-12
  • Peer tutoring: 10-12
  • Marching band: 10-12, section leader
  • Compsci club: 11-12, VP
  • Math/science/natl honor societies: 10-12 or 11-12 (although these don’t really matter)
  • Math olympiad/math team: 11-12

Out of school:

  • 1 review article (not super impressive IMO and I didn’t spend a lot of time on it, but it’s something)
  • Internship at this company
  • 3D printing/3D modelling in spare time
  • Playing saxophone (I plan on making a music supplement for schools that like them):

  • Likely no financial aid (maybe good for some need-aware schools)

Your gpa goes up when you don’t include PE? lol. (I’m a junior rn and can’t give you advice sry)

Your stats will make you competitive but the acceptance rates are super low no matter what your stats. Spend your time finding match and safety schools.

I think your ECs are pretty solid if you are planning on going into STEM, but I’m a sophomore so don’t listen to me.
