Chance me for transferring: GW, NYU, Brandeis, Muhlenberg, UMass Amherst

I’m transferring out of Bryn Mawr for the spring semester of sophomore year. My top choice is Brandeis but I’d also be happy with GW or NYU (Muhlenberg and UMass are safeties)

HS GPA: 3.9 (my school didn’t have honors/APs and therefor no weighted grades)
Bryn Mawr GPA: 3.67 (Bryn Mawr is allegedly known for grade deflation, not sure if this is true)
Not submitting my ACT score
High School ECs: ballroom dance, two jobs throughout high school, theater for all of HS, taught sex ed through a program at Planned Parenthood (I was voted MVP and selected to go to a national summit; I want to major in Public Health and work in women’s health so I think this is a good hook)
College ECs: First year representative on the Hillel board, Holocaust survivor fellowship through Haverford’s Chabad (kind of hard to explain on here)
This past summer and this semester (I’m taking the semester off) I’ve been working at an independent bookstore and interning at Planned Parenthood (once again, hopefully Planned Parenthood will stand out on my app)
I’m submitting a recommendation from a Sociology professor I had for two classes that I think will be great

would appreciate if anyone who transferred to any of these colleges could offer some thoughts

I’m currently at umass amherst. I’d say your stats are pretty outstanding. Brandeis is an easy transfer school. I got the offer with much lower stats (so remember to apply for aid!!! I didn’t and rlly regret)

I actually transferred from GW to Haverford and I would say you stand a very good shot at GW. They lost over 7% of their enrollment this semester (I believe, in large part, because they handled the pandemic horribly), and with your stats and ECs, you stand a good shot of admission – especially because they were trying to get enrollment numbers down, and now they’re trying to get them back up. Also, GW announced a year ago as part of their long-term admission plan that they would be admitting more transfers, which also bodes well for you. Good luck in whatever you end up choosing – but I wouldn’t choose GW even if you get in, especially if you aren’t majoring in poli sci or IR.
