Hi guys I was just wondering what my chances are of getting into Tulane Early Decision 2 or Regular?
I am a Jewish, white, female- I am a senior in high school and an IB diploma candidate (taking all IB classes)
I got a 29 on ACT
I have an unweighted GPA of about 89 and weighted 92

VP of National Art Honors Society
CO-Founder of Feminist Club
Board member Jewish Student Union
The School Musical

If anyone could help me out or give me advice that would be great!
Thanks!!
Congratulations on a good high school record. You have a shot at Tulane. Try to bump up your ACT a point or two. Also make the case of how Tulane’s programming fits into your long term plans or, better yet, how you can weave an interdisciplinary set of majors to set you up for the future. Show a lot of interest in and knowledge of the school, and make your commitment to community service clear. Best of luck to you!

Thank you!
I think you definitely have a shot for all 3. BU is particularly very specific about GPA. Is there a reason why you’re not doing ED1 OR EA to Tulane. A majority of their class is chosen this way.
I applied ED1 somewhere else- but the chances of me getting in are pretty slim.

You’ll get into GW and you have good chances at Tulane, but I’d call Boston a reach
@jennacwa, Tulane’s middle ACT range is 30-33, while BU’s is 27-31. In addition, Tulane is coming off of a very large freshman class last year and is looking to downsize a bit this year. Bottom line: the only people with “good chances” at Tulane are people who demonstrate a lot of interest and knowledge of the school and also have high stats. This is not meant to be discouraging, but rather to aid in the OP’s risk management decisions.
Sorry, thought you said Boston college and not Boston university. I think you have a very good shot there.
