Chance me for U of I (Urbana Champaign) and Michigan Ann Arbor please :D ?

My gpa is 5.09 on a weighted 5 scale. Unweighted, on a 4 point scale, it's 3.42.

I'm top 11% in my class, something like 60/540.

The only ACT I've taken so far has been last year, and I scored a 31 composite.

My extracurriculars include theater (2-20 hrs/week), and student council (5 hrs/week)

I have a job that I work at about 30 hours a week.

I'm also in the National Honors Society of High School Scholars

I'm applying for the engineering program at both schools.

I appreciate any help at all :)

I don’t know much about Michigan, but for UIUC, the engineering program is extremely competitive.
The stats for recent engineering students have been:

30 - 34 ACT

1970 - 2190 SAT

90% - 98% of class

for UIUC. Although your ACT falls in the range, your GPA and class rank make your admittance into the Engineering program a far shot.
I can’t say for sure, but maybe it would be better to apply for a different field at UIUC and get into the school and see if transferring is an option, although that may be just as difficult, as well.

Are you in state for either?
