Doing 2 vet internships this summer
Volunteer at animal shelter for 6 years
President of hunger relief club, CSF treasurer, NHS for 2 years, marching band for 4 years, section leader 3 years, Anti Defamation League peer leader, numerous awards for both band leadership and musicianship, volunteer at horse rehabilitation center for almost a year...(i clearly keep myself busy)
If you got the chance, could you also chance me for Cal Poly Pomona? (My major is impacted there)
Thanks! :)

Admission to Davis is somewhat more numbers based than to most other schools. But you still have a chance if you write some good essays and get 1900+ on the SAT.

What is your UC GPA? If it is lower than 3.9, Davis would be a low reach.

I’m actually really confused on how that is calculated. My sophomore and junior years are by far alot stronger than my freshman…
I know you take your soph and junior years and give 4 points for an A, 3 for b, etc. And adding points for honors courses. But…what does it mean by number of semesters? Is that asking for how many classes you took?

Freshman year isn’t counted at UCD… so please provide us with an UCGPA that does not take freshman year into account. Capping means that you take your best 8 honors/IB/AP courses.

On the UC Davis website, its made clear that all 4 years of high school are considered, so I don’t believe freshman year is completely disregarded…

If I did this all right, my UC (weighted) GPA is a 3.94.
