anyone???

Probably not, that UW GPA is pretty weak, the UC one is slightly better but still subpar. I think the UCLA average is 4.3 and its about the same for UCB. I doubt even a semester of 4.0 would be enough.

thanks. i looked up ucla and ucb’s enrolled average gpas and they’re 4.11 and 4.15. i think the 4.3 is the accepted gpa, which probably included those of kids who used them as safeties. still, my gpa is really below average so i’m still at a huge disadvantage :(. what kind of reach would you characterize them as, low, mid, high, or dream?

Well you’re OOS which is why you will need to be even higher than the 4.3 accepted GPA. Some of those IS kids my sneak by with slightly lower GPAs but OOS people need to be really good. I would categorize you as a low/mid reach.

i heard that oos kids might actually have it easier nowadays because of the budget cuts. but i could be wrong. do you think an amazing essay might just be enough to bring me over the edge for either of the schools? and would you mind giving me a rough percentage estimate of admission? sorry if these questions are a little unrealistic and thanks for answering
