Based on your GPA, you are competitive for all the UC’s but you should add a solid safety school to the list since the UC’s can be unpredictable. Cal Poly SLO would be a Match but UC Riverside, San Diego state or Long Beach would be solid safety schools especially if SDSU or CSULB are within your local service area.
Biology majors tend to be impacted at most of the schools so the competition is tough. What is your career goal with your major?

UCSC: 85%

UCM: 98%
A. ADN/RN program at a community college, possibly followed by RN->BSN program at a university.
B. BSN program at a university. May be direct admission as frosh (but subject to weed-out college GPA requirements) or have competitive secondary admission after enrolling and taking a year or two of college courses.
C. BA/BS is any subject, followed by a BSN program for someone who already has a BA/BS.
If you are leaning towards Nursing, then you should apply for the Direct admit programs at UCLA, UCI and SDSU. UCLA and SDSU do not allow you to do an internal transfer if you change your mind later. UCI will allow you to change your major to Nursing after completing the pre-req courses and a minimum GPA.
CSULB has a 2+2 program where you are admitted as a “Pre-Nursing” major and then have to apply to the Nursing program usually at the end of Sophomore year after completing the pre-req courses. This is not a guaranteed admission to the Nursing school.
For the other UC’s and SLO, you will have to complete your 4 year degree and then a post Bacc Nursing program or transfer after 2 years to a Nursing program when you have completed the Nursing school requirements.
For Pharmacy school, you will need a 4 year degree and completion of the Pharmacy school course requirements before applying to a Pharmacy program.
