Chance me for UCLA/USC/UCSD/UCB

Haha. My first post. I hope I'm not doing this wrong. x]

Well, UCLA is pretty much my reach. (: If I get into UCLA (and I REALLY hope I do x.x), I'll be a happy camper for at least 4 more years. ^___^ And my parents won't kill me. ..

Well, without further ado:

If calculated with our school's weighted system: (Sorry, I'm not too sure how to calculate a weighted GPA without using our school's system. O_O)

Including freshman year:
Cumulative GPA: 3.75
Weighted GPA: 4.15

Without freshman year:
Cumulative GPA: 3.75
Weighted GPA: 4.35

The next part is just a list of my classes and grades. You can just skip through this mumbo jumbo if you want to. :] Scroll until you see an end '---'.

My SAT score is 2140 (though I'm retaking it for the second time this October).
Math: 770 /Reading: 720 /Writing: 650

AP exam scores:
AP Language: 5
AP U.S. History: 4
AP Chemistry: 4

For extracurriculars, the only thing I'm really in is Academic Decathlon, a competition where people are tested on the following ten subjects: art, music, history, science, speech, economics, math, language and literature, essay, and interview. However, I've been in it my whole high school career.

In sophomore year, I was historian; in junior year, I became treasurer and competed on the major division team (I got a bronze medal in speech in the regional competition, our team placed 2nd, and we made it to state that year ^-^); this year, I'm president, but our major division team hasn't been formally picked yet.

Ohh! And though I'm not in the theatre club, I played a minor part in our school's spring play in sophomore year, and three minor roles in our school's spring play in junior year. (:

Awards:

Last year, I got 2nd for a local essay contest, with the open topic of 'wow'!

I tied for first for last year's regional MathFax competition? In division one? I'm not really sure how much this competition counts for, but I got a big, tall, shiny trophy. :D

**But I have pretty much no recorded volunteer hours. T-T Like, 9, I guess. DO VOLUNTEER HOURS COUNT FOR A LOT? I have some from like, junior high!!! xD

Volunteer hours are what I'm scared most about. ))):**

I guess that's it for now. Sorry if you couldn't take the flurry of emoticons. ._." Hehe.

Chance me for:
UCLA!!
USC
UCSD
UCB!!
...Stanford? :/
...Northwestern? x] (I heard there are a lot of cute guys there. ;D)

Thank you! (:

My first post, too, haha! Good questions… but I’ll be a transfer college student instead, attempting to get accepted at UC Berkeley either this fall or next fall.

I’ve already been told by Berkeley that my volunteer work/life experience is good enough since I’m a USAF Veteran. Of course, I’m not going to apply just there… but I guess it’s kinda my dream college. shrug

I have all A’s and B’s in my college courses.

You need to calculate your UC GPA, rules are on their web site. Assuming yours is at least 4.2 you have a good shot at all of the UCs.

Stanford is an extreme long shot and NU would depend on rank and raising the scores a bit.

UC’s- mostly matches, you have a great shot there
Northwestern- low reach/high match, although you may want to find some more reasons to go there than the hot boys
Stanford- reach

Heehee. Thanks, guys. ._.

I just calculated my UC GPA.

4.136~ >_< That’s good… right? ^^"

I think you have a very good shot to all the UCs, but extreme long shot for Stanford. Don’t know about Northwestern.
