The rest of my classes are all honors if possible to be honors, then electives.
Lowest grade ever was a B- in honors Chemistry, never had below an A in an elective, never had a C in any class.
I applied to the UCONN School of Business.
So far I have been accepted to Fairfield and Scranton and deferred from Marist. I also applied to Villanova, Skidmore, and Fordham as reaches. Please chance me for UCONN and the other schools if you’re feeling generous!! Thanks!
UCONN admission has become much more difficult in the last few years due to the very large number of in-state students who apply. Last year UCONN received a record number of 36,000 applications, breaking 2015 35,000 record and doubling the number of applicants who applied a decade ago. Average SATs of admitted students was 1270 and average SATs of enrolled students was 1233 and the average GPA was 3.7
Given your stats and ECs you should be an easy admit. I would not stress about it.
Skidmore is going to be tough to accept you as your SAT and GPA about the average, but as a WF you are in the over-represented bucket so its probably more of a close 40/60 odds for RD. Skidmore is trying to up their admisssion rankings and last year admitted about half the class via early decision, and it was a record year for applicants too. So this makes it much harder to get in RD. If you had applied ED I would say your odds would have been 70/30
Villanova has materially upgraded their admission profile and current entering class of 2016 had GPA like yours but higher SATs, given your again over-represented demographic I would bet you get wait-listed or denied there
Your Stats for Fordham would have gotten you in with no problem a few year ago, but like so many other schools the popularity has risen and your SAT is bit below the average of the admitted class of 2020 which was a record year for academic distinction for Fordham, so here I would say your odds are 50/50.
Good luck!
UConn admissions is getting more competitive each year but your stats are solid. Did you track admissions stats from your high school last year? Do you have Naviance in your school? That’s always the best tool for chancing.
Not sure where you are in CT but we are also looking closely at UConn Stamford because they are going to have housing and their business program is strong with many companies in Stamford.
Regarding Skidmore - they are now test optional so if you thought that could be a liability did you submit scores? I think some of the other schools on your list are test optional as well.
