The ACT is out of 36. And honestly, you don’t have much of a chance at the UC’s, other than maybe Riverside/Merced. As for the Cal States, try Dominguez or Cal States of the Caliber. Don’t be discouraged from applying to the UC’s though, you never know:)

I’d say SB is highly unlikely and SC is a reach. If you apply there for a non impacted major you could get in. The CSUs are harder to say. Your stats are fine for all, but most are heavily going towards accepting mostly kids in heir service area. So I think our definitely get into the one closest to your home.

hey. I don’t know much about CSUs but I do know about UC’s a bit. From what I heard… stats (GPA/SAT/ACT) weigh the most. I have a similar GPA compared with you but a 1710 SAT. People said that my chances at UCI are about 60/40 or about a high match/match. I dont know though… I do have stellar EC’s though… IMO at least.

I’d say your chances at UCI is quite low because of your SAT. Your ECs aren’t really that great… and seem to be pretty normal/average imo.
As for UCSC. I heard they were the safeties for 3.0 students. So I think you have a pretty good chance there. And your SAT falls into the average tehre.

You should be able to get in to most of the CSUs; they have very low admission standards. Unless you do really well on the SAT you have low chances for UCs. UCSC is the one you’d be most likely to get into. Good luck on the SAT!

Thanks, guys Do you guys think it’s even worth sending my UC apps in at this point? I’m pretty much done, but idk if it’s worth spending the additional 210 on apps where I have such a low chance of getting admitted into.

^. If you can write stellar essays, and get a 1800+ or 28+ on the SAT/ACT, you’d have a pretty good chance. I say go for it. From what everyone says here, UC admissions are unpredictable.

Yeah, not much of a chance at the UCs. No chance at UCI and super high reach for UCSB. GPA is pretty low and so are your SAT scores. I’d say you are in to CSULB and CSUSF, with a chance at getting into SDSU.
