~~Chance me for UC's and out of state schools(SUPER LOW GPA, probably lowest on CC)~~

What are my chance for ALL the UC's and other out of state schools? The only CSU's I'm considering are the top ones. The out of state ones I'm looking at are in the northeast, specifically new york area, as well as some Texas ones.
To sum it up. Low Gpa. High test. Slightly above average Extracurrics.

My Stats:

Weighted GPA: 2.9
Nonweighted: 2.8

I will have taken 8 AP classes by the time I graduate high school. 3 Sophomore year, 4 junior year. 4 senior year. My school offers a total of 11. Interned at a medical company summer going into 11th grade. Will do it again going into 12 th grade at the same company.

Yeah, I know my GPA is killing me, but I have a bunch medical notes to help my cause for sophomore year GPA. I had 4 surgeries during the time, but none were too serious. I am planning to put my medical condition in my essay, which I hope to help my cause for my sophomore year GPA.

Thanks for taking the time to read my posts!

If there is a legitimate reason for the bad grades sophomore year then you should be fine. I know a kid who had a 4.0 freshman, junior, and senior year, but a 2.0 sophomore year due to a medical situation and he ended up at UChicago.
As far as chances go, I don’t know anything about the California region, but your ECs and test scores are good enough to get you into most more selective (not super selective) schools if there is an actual excuse for the GPA.

You need a UC GPA to know your chances at California publics, and it’s not too late to bump that up.

If you got 4.4 both semesters this year (all A’s, some in UC approved weighted classes), you might end up with a 3.6.That’s going to make many UC’s and SLO a slight reach, but quite possible.

^I agree your UC GPA is 10-11 in a-g classes only. Your a really bright but lazy kid. Really hurts you because UC’s value gpa the most. Rigor of secondary schoool courseload high which is beneficial. Try and get the highest grades possible junior year esp. in ap and honor courses. Good luck :)

Thanks for all your help guys! Anyone else? I just asked my mom and it shows that I’ve missed school for 2 weeks. What OOS colleges do you guys think is a match/reach?

I wouldn’t put your medical condition in your essay. Put it in the additional info section of college apps. Use your essay to help your application and let the admission officers get to know the real you.
