I applied to UCs as well. I would say your scores are high enough for a good number of them, but I think EC’s matter quite a bit. It shows your willingness to participate and take action. It also depends on why you didn’t do EC’s though. So if it’s a reason they understand and you wrote about it, it might be okay. And AP’s are great!

Hopefully this helps, this is just what I got in my general college search so far and other posts! Best luck to all of us, right? :)

I think that your (comparatively) low SAT and GPA scores and your (very odd) lack of ECs will automatically make UCLA, UCB, UCSD a very high reach.

as for the rest:
UCI: reach
UCSB.UCD: low reach
UCR, UCM: match

I’d suggest applying to more safeties, some private schools perhaps. Good luck!

UCLA/UCB/UCSD: Reach
UCD/UCI/UCSB: Low Reach/High Match
UCSC: High Match
UCR/UCM: Match

For all of the UC’s except UCSC/UCR/UCM, the average UC GPA was 4.0+. Your SAT is around the average for the Mid-tier and lower UC’s. I suggest you apply to some Cal states for more matches and safeties which have good business programs such as SDSU/SJSU/Chico and CSUN.

Decent GPA and good SAT score are good, but a lack of EC will really hurt you. I say UCR and UCM are ideal for you, with UCD and UCI being reaches. Hopefully your personal statements are as good as you say (not that I am doubting you), but they can carry a lot of potential weight. Good luck!
