Chance me for UCSB/UCLA please!

My freshman year I attended SMU and had a 3.0 GPA both semesters, I didn't like the school so I decided to go the community college route this year and hope to get into a UC my junior year. Along with the 3.0 GPA there I also was recognized as a BBA scholar which is basically an accelerated program into the business school which features the most prospective freshman business students.

Currently at my community college I have 4 A's and one class in which my grade is unknown due to a lazy professor. Most likely I will finish the semester with between a 3.8 and 4.0.

I will be applying as Economics/Busi Econ at each and am currently taking the classes I need to finish the prerequisites for this major.

I really want to go to UCSB and UCLA is my reach. I might throw in UCSC as my backup. Does it look good for any? I'm not sure if my GPA from SMU combines with my CC one which would really weigh me down to a low 3.X.

Any insight would be appreciated! I'm working on my statements and just getting curious about it all.

Are you applying to UCLA Biz Econ? That’s a very hard major to get into. Avg GPA accepted was 3.9 last year.

UCSB you’ll prob get into assuming you have 60 units when transferring.
