UCLA(Business Econ) and UCSB(Econ and accounting), chance me?

Current school: SDSU
Current year: Sophomore
Applying to: UCLA-Business Econ and UCSB-Econ and accounting
Preference: UCLA
GPA: 3.96-3.98(depending on whether i get an A or an A- in a class this semester). 4.0 in major classes
EC's:
1. SDSU Finance and Investment Society,
2. Golf team in high school(wasn't sure whether this would help but i put it there anyways)
3. SDSU MMA club
4. I work part time in college at Big 5

Personal statement: I wrote what i believe to be a very strong personal statement about my intended major(and had my mom and friend who are both involved in high levels of the financial world proofread and thoroughly edit)
In my second personal statement I wrote about my transition from 3.3 GPA in high school to a near 4.0 in university and how this shows my level of dedication(same as above, heavily proofread and edited by multiple people)

Cons:
By the time of transfer i would have taken 1 semester calculus class at SDSU, not the 2 quarter calculus classes required by UCLA, how badly will this hurt my chances?
Not a California Community College student, same as above, how badly will this hurt my chances?

Chances are probably pretty poor for UCLA considering you aren’t from CC and I’ve never heard of anyone being admitted without Calc 2 (this is probably the biggest issue).

UCSB chances are that really good.

I actually think schoolwise you stand an ok chance. Even though staistically less students are admitted to a UC by way of CSU, there aren’t as many applicants, so the stats look worse on first glance than they actually are. Plus, your GPA makes you very competitive. Your BIG issue as @csb111 said, is your missing Calc 2. Why can’t you take it next term? You seriously need to get it in.

I cant take calc 2 next semester because it is not required for the finance major at SDSU and neither is its prerequisite(which is needed to take calc 2), which i also haven’t taken because it is not required for me to. I couldnt take calc 2 next semester if i tried.

cross enroll at community college and take calc 2 or else you will have close to no chance of getting in

Hmmm, can you test into Calc 2 and skip the pre-req? Can you take the pre-req winter session?
