Chances of getting into UF??
I just recently applied to Summer B at the University of FLorida and I'm wondering what my chances are. I am a senior at Suncoast Community High School (the 9th best HS in the nation) in the IB program with a 3.47 GPa and 4.32 HPA. My class rank is 121/365 top third (not bad at Suncoast) yet my SAT scores arent very good with my max being an 1860 with a 600 in math and 630s in reading and writing. I have a number of community service activities and have been working at Publix since the end of my sophomore year. I have coached special olympics (my essay topic) since junior year and have also coached rec basketball and founded and became president of a Race for the Cure CLub at my school. I'm afraid they won't look at it the same though because I started these activites junior year and they may think i'm padding my resume. I also was a JV school basketball player through Sophomore year (and was captain sophomore year) yet I stopped after stating in my resume that a knee injury kept me from playing junior year. I also played travel basketball through junior year.I'm also an NHS member and an AP Scholar with distinction

Bump Bum bump

anyone?

pretty strong chance i’d say. i am waiting to hear back as well with a 4.5 wgpa and 1900 sats. i attended an information session at UF and my numbers seemed pretty close to the middle and yours are almost the same as mine

Bulp bump anyone

Your gpa and rank are going to hurt you really bad. But because you are coming from a hard school they will take that into account and your classes. Sines it’s the summer b it’s not as competitive is what I heard. So you have a good shot.

@135pipe Actually, Summer B and Fall (and even inovation academy) are all equally as competitive in UF’s admissions system.

Really never mind you still have a shot.
