Chance me for UF PLEASE!!!! its my dream school

@BornToBeaGator: Definately agreed; and I really appreciate that I’m not alone in doing this.

Of all the positives in your credentials first generation is HUGE. I know students that should have never been admitted that were and the only thing that could have gotten them in was first generation.

Be prepared to start during the summer.

You will be a Gator.

I hate to ruin dreams, but I’ve had friends with better credentials, namely a couple with 4.0 unweighted and much more, who did not get in. I myself had a 3.9, but I think what got me in best was my hooks in restoring forests and such. Nonetheless, I have to disagree with your chances.

I got in with far inferior grades. You never know unless you try. If it’s your dream school, go for it. You can’t get in unless you apply. I hope you didn’t make any spelling mistakes in your essay like you did in the OP though.

It’s grammar, not grammer. Probably should be grammatical errors instead of grammar as well. That being said, people who aren’t English majors probably don’t care about that too much. I’m sure any English major could nitpick my post here too. :P

Haha I am not the best in English but I had my essay edited by my sister who is an English major so their should be no grammatical errors. I am getting so nervous for decisions day. @zalithian if you don’t mind me asking, what were your stats when you applied?

The weighted GPA is already calculated and my essay was written with proper grammer.

I’m sorry…but…

…and…

…I’m not trying to be that guy…but you made it too easy!

Quick question…How many APs have you taken?

Most people do get accepted with similar stats despite what everyone else is saying here. Congrats.

Okay I understand my English isn’t the best but my essay and resume we’re edited by English teachers so they were fine. By the end of high school I will have taken 8 ap courses, I got a 4 on ap
Chem, stat and world history and a 5 on psychology, UF doesn’t care about the exam scores though

have you talked to uf’s track department? you have a good chance of getting in already but you could better that chance if you show your athletic skills.

I actually have been called by the coach and am currently on their recruitment list. He told me that being on the list doesnt help acceptance as i havent hit the required times yet but come spring i may be able to walk on if i am accepted.
