Hi, I’m about to start my senior year and really nervous about where to apply to colleges and what are my actual chances of getting in. So chance me?
Unweighted GPA: 3.1
Weighted GPA: 3.5
SAT: 1920
ASVAB: 99
Haven’t taken the ACT
APs: World history, European history, Lang
Taking AP Gov, AP Lit, AP Psych next year
ECs: Save Darfur Genocide Aid Club (9, 10)
Serteen (Sertoma) club helping the deaf in community (9,10)
Face to face conversation club (9,10)
MCJROTC Operations Officer (10, 11, 12)
Hostess at restaurant (20-30 hrs/wk) (11,12)
I have about 150 hours of community service between all of these. I also switched schools halfway through sophomore year which is why my participation in the ECs changed.
I assume you’re in-state, as I’m comparing you to other FL kids I know and don’t know if any of these schools are harder or easier OOS. I strongly believe you will get into every school except maybe UF, which you still have a decent shot at. I know kids with better stats that got rejected from UF, and worse stats that got in, so it’s hard to predict. I don’t think any of the others will be a problem.
Thank you! That really reassures me! @jackrabbit14
I think your GPA is a little low for UF, especially since your SAT is about their average. I don’t see any problem with any of the other schools. I still think on a good day UF is possible though because off your ECS.
The average freshman profile at FSU is between a 3.8 and a 4.3 GPA. A 3.5 weighted GPA is a little low for FSU, but your SAT score is solid.
