<p>General: Junior, East Indian, female, GA resident
GPA: 3.4, I had an awful freshman year but i have shown an upwards trend, latest junior year transcript consisted of all As. I am in the IB program (IB certificate), taking IB History of America, Spanish, and Language Arts, all higher-level. I have taken 6 AP classes so far. All my other classes have been gifted, with the exception of 2 honors classes.
SAT: 1890, this was my first time and I plan on taking it again in late January.
ECs:
- trained in classical dance for 11 years
-member of the Interact (recycling) Club and Spanish Honors Society
-volunteered at 2 hospitals
-officer position in a local cultural youth committee
-conducted an IB Middle Years Programme project in which I raised over $300 for a charity by creating handmade jewelry. received an MYP Top 5 award for this and recognition from the charity.
-over 250 community service hours in total.
I know my GPA is below average, but please give me your opinions based on my stats. Feel free to suggest another college that could be a better fit for me if you think UGA is not. Thanks!</p>
