Chance me for UMichigan- Ann Arbor?

Hi, what are my chances for University of Michigan- Ann Arbor?

-GPA: 3.82 UW, 4.6 W
-ACT: 31 without writing, and 30 with writing (all scores are reported)
-All honors except in the social studies department (personal choice), 1 AP junior year, 3 APs senior year.
-Pretty good EC's including volunteer at local hospital ER , youth group president, vice president of french honors society, peer tutor, did a work/study program last summer, 12 years of piano, National Honors Society, participation in NFTY.
-Two amazing teacher rec letters (one from AP english teacher, one from Precalc Honors teacher), stellar rec letter from my Rabbi, great counselor rec letter.

My only concern is that I did not take many AP courses even though my school offers a lot. It was mainly due to personal choice based on interests...not laziness. But I took lots of honors classes. I will try to convey that in my essay.

Thanks :D

Where is your home state and what is your intended major?

-Home state is Illinois.
-Applying to LSA (College of Literature, Science, and Arts)
-Areas of Interest: Biopsychology, Cognition and Neuroscience (all one major), Evolutionary Anthropology, and Psychology.

Thanks!

UMich LSA would be a very high match for you as oos. Your ACT is right at admission average while your GPA is slightly below average and without a rigorous course load (GPA up to junior with 1 AP). Excellent essays may help your chance.

Would just like to note that my schedule WAS rigorous throughout high school, due to honors classes. I don’t believe the classes have to be AP to be considered rigorous.

Did your school have AP classes?

Yes. I only took AP in the areas I felt pertained to my interests, though. I did not take AP just to get the credit. Maybe this was a mistake. That’s why I didn’t take many.
