Chance me for University of Alabama?

I'm currently about halfway through my junior year of high school and my top choice is the University of Alabama for a psychology major. I'm from Mass, but want to move to AL because of the milder climate and the beautiful campus.
I just received my up-to-date transcript, and my current career GPA is a 3.7. I don't do a lot of extra-curricular activities, so I don't know if that will hurt my chances. I went a performing arts school part time freshman and sophomore year, and I did the drama club freshman year as well. I've been in student government since middle school, and this year I'm on the Executive Board for student council. Unfortunately I don't play any sports...
I've taken honors classes since freshman year, and this year I'm taking AP English and History... next year I plan on taking either AP Bio or AP Environmental as well as AP English and AP Psych. I've taken 3 years of French and I'm debating on whether or not to take a 4th year.
Currently I'm 20th in my class and hoping to move up at least a few places before the year is over.
If anyone has any opinions on my chances for Alabama, please let me know!

You seem to be on the right track. Try to get involved in a few other ECs just to look a little more well rounded. Difficult to give you a reasonable chance without seeing SAT/ACT, but you’re doing well. How did you do on the PSAT?

* my current career GPA is a 3.7. *

You’re fine…you’ll get in. I’m guessing that you’ll have a decent ACT/SAT.

Have you taken the ACT and SAT yet? Take both!

Also, apply early…the app will go up in July…Bama is more lenient in the beginning of the app season.

I took the PSAT and got a 202… I think I’m going to wait until June to take the SATs so that it doesn’t come too close to the AP tests in early May, but hopefully my score will stay around the same!

Not familiar with PSAT scores, but a 3.7 UW GPA is fine. Although you are OOS, if your SATs and ECs are good, you won’t have a problem getting in.

Most state schools aren’t as hard to get in as the elite privates.
