Chance me for University of Chicago. Will chance back!

So, sorry for the second chance thread in only a little while, but I discovered (well, took a look into) the University of Chicago at the last minute and think it might actually be the place for me. I haven't actually felt any 'connection' to any schools yet, except for U of C. So, please chance me for regular decision at the University of Chicago. I'll chance you back, just leave a link.

Sex: Male
Race: White
SAT: 2230
ACT: 35
SAT II: 800 Chemistry, 800 Physics, 800 Math II
GPA: 4.50 Weighted, 4.00 Unweighted
Rank: 16/825(ish) This will probably go up by the end of the year. My school does not publish rank though.
APs: 5 Chemistry, 5 Physics B, 5 Statistics
Currently Taking: Physics C, BC Calculus, Macroeconomics, Microeconomics
Essays: Will be strong, I'm a great writer and have my own unique views.
Recs: Glowing.
Extracurriculars: Weak. I'm on WYSE and Science Bowl, which are science competition teams. I've been on WYSE for two years and SciBowl for one. I've been tutoring at my school's peer tutoring program for 2 years for three hours/week. My only good EC is being President of JSA (I've been in the club for three years total). JSA is like debate team, except entirely student run. I have to organize a convention at my school for 120ish people as well as be in charge of my entire chapter (40ish people) at the larger state and national conventions (in Madison, Washington DC, and Chicago). I have 6 best speaker awards, which are the only ones handed out.
Interview: I am not a boring person. I'm sure I will do well. I can be odd/quirky, and they like that (which is a lot of the reason why I like U of C). I like having the philosophical/nerdy discussions that U of C is famous for.

you’re stats are AMAZING. And ECs aren’t as bad as you seem to think. I’d say you are in.

Chance me back?

Well, I just found out there are no more interviews left. Will this hurt me drastically?

IN fer sure :D

It’s probably a low reach. RD acceptance rate should be around 12% this year, which means admissions may be pretty arbitrary.

^^^^^ try around 40%!?

You’re 95% in…

Don’t worry about your EC, they really aren’t that weak; that convention you organize yourself sounds like it requires a lot of organizational and leadership skills
plus, your GPA, SATs, recs, and essay will definitely help :)

You certainly sound like a good candidate… I got in with fairly similar statistics. Your extracurriculars aren’t weak; I’d say you have a couple of things you are actually dedicated to, rather than a laundry list of every club you could find, which is hardly a bad thing. I wouldn’t worry about not being able to interview…of the schools I got into when I was applying, half I had interviewed at, half I hadn’t. One recommendation…if you get into Chicago, make sure you visit. Its an interesting place with a pretty unique vibe. Personally, I fell in love with it on paper, visited, and about half an hour after I got there asked my Dad if we could switch to an earlier flight home because I was miserable and bored. One of my friends hated everything she heard about it but applied to make her Dad, an alum, happy, visited, and fell in love. I feel like its a place people either love or hate, so try to get up there if you can, and hopefully you’ll love it!

Good luck!

I would say ur in for sure. your GPA rank and test scores make up for your weak ECs. Make sure you write really good essays, i’ve heard they put considerable weight on those. good luck!
