Here goes… I’m a junior in high school. If it helps at all, I would like to get into their science and engineering college. My GPA to start off is 3.4 weighted, ~3.2 unw. 80th percentile. I have already completed one AP test on statistics, and currently have three more AP tests this spring. My ACT is 28, both science and math at 30.

In terms of ECs I created our school’s chess club and currently am captain. I am also captain for debate, and aim for the same in speech. I am also in tennis, knowledge bowl, and key club.

I’m aware of the competition, so I’m curious of my chances despite a mediocre GPA XD Let me know, and thanks!

You would be solid if applying to CLA. CSE will be a reach (but I think there is a chance).

You definitely want to bring your GPA up because that could definitely hold you back. Your ACT isn’t bad but it isn’t the best so I’d suggest retaking it and/or taking the SAT just to see how you would do on it. You are a Junior so you still have time, especially to improve. Your ECs are pretty good, especially if you’ve been in them for a while because it shows dedication. Good luck next year!
