Is there a reason why you are focusing on UWash? Your stats are incredible, and you will almost certainly get accepted into this school. In fact, I’d say UWash is a safety for you. Are trying to earn a scholarship, or are there other more selective schools that you have applied to? Regardless, I wish you the best of luck and would also appreciate it if you could chance me.
@cc8912 I’ve heard they have a very strong medical program and I plan to go into trauma surgery. I actually got waitlisted which was a surprise to me. I will probably go to Boston U, but thank you for your time! I will chance you right now
@sarah2499 I wouldn’t be surprised if you got waitlisted because they think your stats are too good for you to actually to attend. Like, they think you only applied to them as a safety and your top choice was actually a different school (like BU). If you really love the school and would go there over your other options if you got in (selectivity isn’t all that matters!), then I’d say you should show a lot of interest until the final decision comes out. That said, BU is a great school, and if you got in there then congratulations! That is awesome
You never know. They may be trying to gauge the yield of instate students (understandably the most important constituents of any flagship university), and no doubt you would be among the first OOS students offered admission when they are confident they will hit their instate target, whatever that happens to be this year. If not, Go Terriers! (My favorite aunt attended with Faye Dunaway in the early 60s. Great school.)
