Do I have a shot at all???

UW is such a great University, and I'm not sure whether or not I'll be able to get accepted, or even be considered. I have a pretty low rank, the rigor of my classes aren't that high (I only took 4 AP classes throughout high school, but a lot of Pre-AP's, which is the same thing as honors), and I don't have much extracurricular stuff. Chance me please! THANKS

I'm an Asian OOS applicant from Texas.
Here are my stats:
Rank: Top 16% (very competitive High school)
GPA: UW-3.85, W-4.1
SAT: 2130/2400 (M-760, CR-630,W-740)
SAT II: Math II: 680, American History: 630
Senior Course Load: Taking 5 classes per semester, 4 AP classes each semester
Extracurriculars: Red Cross Club, National Honor Society, Invisible Children's Club, Lots of work experience. About 50 hours of community service.
Intended Major: Biochemistry

My daughter was accepted a year ago with similar stats, slightly lower SATs, OOS, asian. I think your changes are very good.

UW is hard to get into, but not that hard. Your stats are into the upper quartile for accepted students in years past, so assuming everthing else is good, you should be fine.

Don’t worry a bit.

UW should be a safety school for you. I would even try applying to more prestigious schools. UCLA, Rice, exd.
